Legacy Planning Week 2: What Are You Leaving Behind?
This week is about stuff—but also, your story.
This is week 2 of a 4-week challenge called: Death Prep for Dummies. The most pain-free way to start planning for the inevitable.
What do you want to pass on? That might mean property and possessions. It might also mean memories, values, or unfinished business (oh no please don’t haunt us, we are trying to help).
Consider:
Stuff (property, collections, jewelry, vehicles…)
Financial assets (bank accounts, investments, insurance)
Sentimental items (photos, heirlooms, letters)
Digital assets (social media, subscriptions, passwords)
Legacy messages or wishes for your people
Prompt:
If you were to vanish tomorrow, what do you hope gets passed on—and to whom (good for you for already making this list last week)?
Actions:
Start an inventory. You don’t have to list everything—just start jotting down the big items and what you’d like done with them. We suggest starting big to small / most important to least.
Deadline (no pun intended): Do this by Friday and share one of your allocations with someone on the list. Example: Tell your brother you want him to have your signed Jordan Jersey.
Life is short. Smile while you still have teeth.
